My Daughter!

I am such a blessed woman. God has blessed me with a daughter that is more than I could have ever hoped for. She is so talented. In January she has had two competitions for trampoline and tumbling and she has done a great job. The first one was in Kentucky. She was excited that we had to travel and spend the night in a hotel and that her Grandma was coming with us. What should have been a 3 hour trip ended up being over 5 hours because it decided to snow really heavy when we left. So, the hotel stay was not what she wanted, but turned a great day on Saturday during her competition. She earned a 3rd place on the trampoline and floor and a 1st place on the double mini. This is her posing to take a picture for her Daddy who did not make the trip with us.

Today, she had her second competition and more family was able to make it because it was here in Columbus. She was really nervous, but did a good job. She earned a 3rd place on trampoline and double mini and a 1st place on the floor! It is so exciting to watch her compete. I think as her Mom I am just as nervous as she is. I felt like I was going to compete. It is so cool to see where she has come from in such a short amount of time. She started going to the gym in March of 2010, and not even a year later has had three competitions and two 1st places! What is even more amazing to me is how she learning to God the glory each and every time. I am one proud Momma, and I love watching her grow!

Growing up

My daughter is getting so big. She is on a trampoline and tumbling team and her first competition is this Saturday. She does not really understand what is going to go on, but I do. I am so excited for her. She has been practicing since March and has improved so much. Her leotard has not come in yet, so we are borrowing one from one of her team mates that has one they out grew. She tried it on today and she looks so cute and grown up all at the same time. I cannot wait to take pictures of her on Saturday so I can post them for you to see. I am so proud of her! I love you my dear, sweet baby girl. Don't grow up too fast for mommy!

Growing pains!

My daughter is 7 now and I did not realize with her birthday we were going to get the extreme attitude. Oh my, has it come and it is pushing me to a level I have not been since I lived at home with my sister. I have come to realize that she is very much like my sister with her actions and her attitudes. Well today I have had enough. She is doing things on her own and I am hoping this will teach her some things. Honestly, it will probably teach me more than her because some of the things she will have to do will show me just how old she really is. She is my oldest, and I am having a hard time letting her grow up and be responsible for some extra things. Anyway, if anyone has any words of wisdom on how to deal with a little girl with attitude please share because I am at a loss and willing to learn. I praise God for this challenge and am realizing that the older my kids get the more I am on my knees praying! Thank you Father for blessing me with her and allowing me to be her mother.

What a Day!

What a great day I have had. This morning my daughter got up and dressed up as a princess. I took her to my parents house where she went with my mom to a Grand-daughter and me princess tea at her church. They had so much fun learning what it meant to be a princess of the Lords. When I took her picture it hit me, she is so beautiful and she is growing up so fast, that before I know it this will be her getting dressed up for a date, or prom, or her wedding. Wow! I just can't believe how fast they grow and change right before your eyes. So, then they were off and I had an opportunity to spend the day alone with my Dad. I can't tell you the last time that happened. We loaded up the horses and went horse back riding. It has been many years since I have done that and my legs are reminding me every time I move tonight how long it has been. It was so much fun. We used to go riding all the time when I lived at home during high school and college. It really took me back to when I was a kid and got to spend time with my Daddy. I will cherish this day, it was so special to me. I just had to praise the Lord all day that things were going good, the weather was perfect and I had some time alone with my Daddy. Thank you Lord for all You blessed me with today!
